Day 3 - A Boring Day

Today I spent most of the day doing research and working on making this blog nice. I have the basic touches to it, so that works for me. I also went to Browns Bay to pay my rent and go shopping. That is around 10 minutes from where I am staying. Nice little community by the ocean.
I had to take the bus, so I didn't want to get too much groceries that I couldn't carry. It was very interesting to see what was sold and what was not sold in New Zealand compared to Canada. They had a lot less sugary cereals than we have in Canada. The milk was labelled differently and they had more flavours of milk. They had chocolate, banana, and lime flavoured milk, but not just in small containers, in big 2L containers too. Their bags of chips were smaller than ours (even though the cost was relatively the same). They also never had perogies. It was a sad day indeed.
I caught the correct bus back and got off on the correct stop. Yay for me. Because it was still early, I wanted to go back out to the ocean and take pictures, but I stayed in to Skype my mom and Mika instead. Mika is doing well. Whenever she heard my voice she always looked towards the door to see if I was coming. I made her sit down a couple of times. She was a little stressed though, because she could not smell me. I am hoping with repeated Skyping she will get used to it and start realizing that I am not actually there. Dogs and technology I guess.
I then stayed upstairs watching game shows and the news with my landlord. I should have went out after even, but I have three months to do that. I will put up pictures when I get my cord back, which will be in 4 days.
